Israeli F-35 Stealth Fighter Escort US B-52 Bombers Flying in the Sky in the Middle East

International Military – The United States military announced that two B-52H bombers were flying over the Middle East and carrying out Bomber Task Force missions, signaling its readiness to meet any challenge resolutely. The American bomber’s maneuvers were escorted by a pair of Israeli F-35 stealth fighter jets.

Two B-52H Stratofortress aircraft from the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, integrated with 13 partner nation Air Forces, performed the mission. “This Bomber Task Force (BTF) mission demonstrates our commitment to regional security and the collective capabilities of our military partners in the region,” US Chief of Central Command (CENTCOM) General Erik Kurilla said in a statement Thursday. Kurilla said CENTCOM could very quickly put a large number of combat forces in the air with its partners. “We can do the same on land and at sea to face any challenge resolutely,” he said.

While not mentioning Iran, the maneuver was seen as a signal to Iran as it continues to send ωεɑρσռs to Russia, increase uranium enrichment for potential nuclear ωεɑρσռs, and support militias in the Middle East. Iran-backed militias have also attacked US forces in the region on several occasions. Meanwhile, the Israeli military said its two F-35 stealth fighter jets escorted a pair of American B-52 bombers during Thursday’s mission.

“As part of increased cooperation with the US Armed Forces, this flight is part of a series of joint exercises to strengthen our readiness against all scenarios,” the Israeli military said in a tweet. Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, commander of the Ninth Air Force (Air Force Center), said the BTF reflects the U.S.’s enduring commitment to the region. “Together with our partners, we can quickly inject tremendous combat power into our joint area of operations,” he said.
